When you have an injury like Nick's, one of the biggest obstacles is staying positive. If you can imagine suddenly being unable to do the things you did before and being confused because you can only remember bits and pieces of your previous life, you will understand what he feels like every day. We have always tried to keep Nick motivated and positive about recovery but even in the most positive atmosphere, working 2 1/2 years to get to where he is now is frustrating. As with most of us...he wants things now. He feels like life is passing him by and he is missing the best years of it stuck in a body that won't cooperate.
His attitude has been much better lately - partly because he is making some visible improvements - but also because he has been having some outings with friends. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Pee Wee and Blake! It is a rare thing for him to admit that he had a good time when he goes out, but I have been getting positive reactions from him and it is great!
God will bless you and I love you for it!

Hi Nick,
It has been great seeing you at the games. We sure are keeping them close aren't we? I'm so happy you are doing better. Keep up the good work. See you Friday Night!
Much Love,
