Monday, Nicholas and I made the trip to Baton Rouge. We met with the Neurosurgeon who was recommeded to us. He, in turn, referred us to another Surgeon in his group who was more familiar with Nick's type of injury. We will be meeting with him next Monday to discuss a procedure which could stop his tremors. Nicholas will also be starting therapy at Meadowbrook Rehabilitation Hospital. For the last several months, our insurance company has stopped paying for his Physical Therapy and the clinic he went to does not accept Medicaid, Meadowbrook does. He will begin having therapy every day again. Since his progress has slowed, we are hoping that this will "jump start" him and get him motivated to work harder.
