Nick started at new therapy center. They are working him so hard that he goes to bed at 8:00 most nights. His speech therapist said yesterday that this was his best day yet. The date hasn't been set yet, but he will be getting the baclofen pump instead of the deep brain stimulator that was considered. It is much less invasive and the doctors felt that was more appropriate for his tremors.
The blog is dedicated to Nicholas Trahan. Nick sustained a traumatic brain injury as the result of an auto accident in 2006. After remaining in a coma for 3 months, he began the long road to recovery.
