New Medicine

After much coaxing, the doctor has agreed to put Nick back on the medication he was taking before the tremors started. He has only been back on it for 4 days, so we haven't seen much change...but we are still hopeful.

Nick has been in a better mood lately and I think that it is partially due to the fact that he has had company. He had been thinking that everyone forgot about him so it made him happy when Erin, Dane, Brooke and Paul came to visit.

I have been getting encouraging reports from all of the therapist. They say that he is improving enough that the insurance company won't cut him off for now. He is learning to compensate for the tremors. He thinks they will never go away so he is working especially hard to deal with them.

The above picture was taken when Jordan took his senior pictures. It is really not such a great picture of him, but when I told him not to smile (his mouth pulls when he smiles), that is the face he made. I figured it was better to put that one than none.

I am going to work on a better picture when we are on vacation. We will be going to the beach for 4 days - THE WHOLE FAMILY. This is the absolute first time that we all go on vacation together. Even Adam is flying in from NC. Pray for us. We are quite an active group. I have rented an all terrain wheelchair with air tires that can go on the beach...I hope that Nick likes it.

Until then...
