I have been waiting to post until I had new pictures, but since I've not gotten any yet, I thought I'd update anyway. I regret to report that Nick still has tremors, but it seems to be getting better. He is now only on muscle relaxers and only takes sleeping medication when he needs it. He is doing better in all areas. His swallowing seems to be improving and his new sitter has him talking (or trying to talk) much more than he had been. I am beginning to understand more of what he says. Meagan has been taking him out at least once a week to a movie and they even went to eat out this past Sunday. He still is not comfortable with that. They even went shopping at the mall.
Nick's physical therapist says that he is almost at the point he was at when he had his setback. That is encouraging. We are praying that this doesn't happen again. Nick is attending mass regularly and we alternate going to church in Maurice and Abbeville.
I know how busy everyone is, but Nick really could use some company. He misses everyone and it is difficult for him to be in the house without seeing his friends. The insurance company stopped paying for physical therapy a few months ago and we have had to cut back to twice a week, which limits his contact with the outside world. You can imagine how hard it is for someone who once was so active to be cooped up inside all the time.
Nick is definately stronger and has been trying to do more for himself.
I will try not to wait so long for another update.
