Doing better!

Last night Nicholas only woke up once. He is doing much better even though he still has tremors. They are less severe and when he repositions himself, they stop for a while. Sunday Nick and Eric went for a ride to Pecan Island. Nick knew exactly where he was going and even though lots has changed since the storm, he was able to tell Eric where to turn and what was ahead. When the children were little and we went to Pecan Island, they would try to hold their breath while crossing the Forked Island bridge. Eric called me Sunday on the way to say that Nick tried it. Eric was amazed that he even remembered doing that.

We get excited with little things that he remembers. He still doesn't remember Graduation, but remembers "Project Graduation". He remembers doing the "Sumo wrestling" but remembers nothing about his "Senior Trip". The most important thing is that he remembers his friends and all of the people who love him. We have faith that Nick will continue to improve. May God give us the strength to perservere with faith, courage and optimism.

Love to you all!!

Sondra, you are one of the most incredible women I know. Stay strong I know it is hard and I could not imagine having to go through what you are as a mother. Nick, I know you will continue to progress. We believe in you.
