Nick is having a good week this week. He has been walking further and further every time the therapist comes over. Last night we had a milestone. He smiled and chuckled when we laughed at something he did…he kicked the dog. He has been signaling for the dog to come near him and then he kicks him. Although it isn’t very nice, we couldn’t help but laugh. He is getting very naughty.
The OT told me that when she asks him to keep his splint on, he shakes his head “yes”, but when she turns to go, she can hear the Velcro being separated. When she turns to see him, he looks at her with “guilt all over his face”.
Yesterday afternoon Nick and his sitter sat under the carport and watched the rain fall all afternoon. When she tried to bring him in, he said no. He is getting very bored with being inside.
Last Saturday we took him to Emily’s baby shower and on Sunday we went to the movies. We are trying to take him places where there aren’t too many people to avoid any confusion for him. It is also very difficult to answer question about him, in front of him.
Progress is slow, but steady.
Please continue to pray.
Sondra

I think this site is wonderful for us to keep up with your recovery. I pray for you and your family often. You are recovering however when you get discouraged remember the clock is set IN GOD'S TIME not ours. Do not lose faith! I will check on you often.
