Nicholas had a good weekend. Friday he was able to respond to Craig and I; he showed us 1,2 and 3 fingers, a thumbs up plus he was able to open his hand up for me. He was tracking with his eyes and had moments where he seemed very alert and aware of what I was telling him.
Mom and Dad visited with Nicholas Saturday and he responded for them everything they asked him to do he did. He did a few new things for mom and he stayed alert for them longer than before. The doctors told them they would be removing the Trach tube completely this week.
Sunday Nicholas told dad Happy Fathers day by opening up his hand to say hi then giving him a thumbs up.
Nicholas is much more responsive and more consistent then he was just a week ago, we can only hope he continues to progress and will be talking soon and starting to come around even more.
Please keep praying and staying postive for Nicholas and our family.

Amanda, and the rest of the family if ya'll need anything please just let us know I know what a difficult time this is for ya'll, having just gone through the same thing myself.
