We have four more days until the swallow test. Please pray that he does well. That will mean that we can begin the process of feeding him and remove the stomach tube. We had a lot of trouble with it this week and had to replace the port.
The wheelchairs came in yesterday and they are great. When Nick sits up in the new chair, his head is held erect by a headrest that will train him to hold it straight.
He had his first shower in a nice comfortable position last night.
Today, the Occupational Therapist came while I was home at lunch. She used a squeezing device with rubber bands for tension to exercise his hands. She said that he is continuing to get better and stronger with every visit.
I hope to have new photos soon, as I will finish off the roll this weekend.
If you all have the time, please come to visit. He really seems to enjoy seeing his friends for a little while.
